Currently, there is Carnival in various European countries and regions. Carnival is something known in America as “Mardi Gras” and mostly celebrated in New Orleans. These traditions are far more political in Europe, for instance in the Rhineland. This is due to the history of Carnival there:

In the Rhineland festivities developed especially strongly, since it was a way to express subversive anti-Prussian and anti-French thoughts in times of occupation, through parody and mockery. Modern carnival there began in 1823 with the founding of a Carnival Club in Cologne. Most cities and villages of the Rhineland have their own individual carnival traditions. Nationally famous are the carnival in Cologne (Köln), Düsseldorf and Mainz.

World leader and local governments as well as global activities (for example climate change) are the ones who have to face the truth often stated in Sarcastic Wagons. There was never big Feedback by the Governments, whether set locally nor globally. But this year may be different. Why? Trump. He may see the attention the “carnivalists” give him and thus respond.

Directly giving a connection between the far-right European populists, the new American President and Adolf Hitler. Playing with the hair colors and the color Hitler used for his movement.
